Property Tax Information

Property taxes are billed on July 1 and Dec 1 of each year.
If you have questions about amounts on your tax bill, please contact the Grant Township Assessor (989-389-0841).
2025 TAXES:
Summer Property Taxes for 2025 are due on Monday, September 15, 2025. Taxes will be collected in person on the day they are due from 10AM to 5PM. A 1% interest charge will be applied for each month that Summer taxes are delinquent including September.
RECEIPTS: If you need a receipt for your 2025 taxes, please send a stamped, self-addressed envelope with your tax payment or submit a contact form on this page and one can be emailed or mailed to you. For years prior to the current tax year, please reach out to the Clare County Treasurer or look up your property on BS&A Online.

Payments

If paying via mail, please send your payment to the township hall address or drop them off in the drop box on the front of the building (to the right of the double doors under the overhang).
Checks or money order via mail are preferred; post marks are not accepted—your payment must be received before the due date.
Cash payments are accepted and must be exact. We do not have change at the township hall.
Credit Card payments are now accepted on BS&A Online. There you can look up your property and create an account to access it. Please note that BS&A Online charges a service fee for processing the credit card payments—the township does not collect this fee.
Please include the parcel ID with the payment to avoid delays in processing.
